We've had a number of requests by people who would like a full body exercise with a partner who really would like to speed along. A dual sliding seat rig has been among our quiet upgrades for a long time. Now with the advent of the 17' Melonseed we are swinging this feature into full production mode.

A second sliding seat allows two people to row in tandem in sliding seat mode. One person can get a fully loaded boat up to hull speed, but two people can keep it there all day with the sliding seats. Without the second sliding seat, you must row tandem in fixed seat mode so that the rear rower doesn't foul the person in front as the natural stroke rate with the sliding seat is a slower and longer stroke.
